City of Kirkland Volunteer Weeding

Sue and Co. is joining forces with the City of Kirkland Weeding Program. There are so many ways to lend a helping hand

IN HONOR OF MEMORIAL WEEKEND

Help us (Sue and Co.) and the City of Kirkland to spruce up the Kirkland cemetery by placing flags and crosses for Memorial Day. We will be guided by the city’s Park Department in our efforts.

THURSDAY, MAY 20

General Clean Up 10:00 am -12:00 pm.
Suggested supplies to bring:

  • Gardening tools
  • Gloves
  • Spray bottle of water
  • Rags
  • Whisk broom
  • Water to drink
  • Container for weed debris

NEEDED:

We can use 10-15 volunteers.

THURSDAY, MAY 27

Place flags and crosses 1:00 PM -3:00 PM
Bring:

  • Gloves
  • Hammer or mallet
  • Water

NEEDED:

We need 10-12 volunteers.

To sign up for a city project don’t forget to submit a City of Kirkland one-time “Event Volunteer Service Agreement” which you can download here. Sign, then scan or photo the completed agreement and mail or email to ptefft@kirklandwa.gov, or Patrick Tefft, Volunteer Service Coordinator, City of Kirkland, 123 Fifth Avenue, Kirkland, WA 98033.

DON’T FORGET…the Volunteer Agreement form is really easy. Just fill in the yellow sections and approximate hours, sign, then scan or photo the completed agreement and mail or email to ptefft@kirklandwa.gov, or Patrick Tefft, Volunteer Service Coordinator, City of Kirkland, 123 Fifth Avenue, Kirkland, WA 98033.
